Drafting Instructions for Women's Front Bodice Sloper


Draft pattern for women's front bodice sloper by following these manual drafting instructions, or use the form below to generate drafting instructions specifically for your measurements.

All measurements are to be taken with the customer wearing foundation garments.
NOTE: there are NO allowances for seams; seam allowances are to be added later.
NOTE 2: wearing ease is not included, because a sloper, by definition, is a pattern for a garment that fits like a "second skin", with no room allowed for breathing, movement, etc. Wearing ease is to be added later.


  Use metric units  

[PIC] F1 Full bust width measure across front of bodice, side seam to side seam, 1 1/2" below armscye, over the fullest part of the bust.
F2 Above-bust width measure across front of bodice, side seam to side seam, directly below armscye and continuing 2 1/2" above the fullest part of the bust.
F3 Bust points gap measure between highest points of the bust
F4 Depth of bust measure from the side of the neck and shoulder seam, down to the highest point of the bust
 
 
[PIC] F5 Full length measure from the side of the neck and shoulder seam down to the waistline
F6 Center length measure from the base of the neck at the center front down to the waistline
F7 Across chest from a point 3" below the base of the neck, measure across the front from armscye to armscye
F8 Slope of shoulder measure from the end of the shoulder at the armscye down to the center front of the waistline
 
 
[PIC] F9 Across shoulder measure from the end of one shoulder seam at the armscye, to the other, passing the center front of the neck
F10 Shoulder width measure the length of the shoulder from the armscye to the base of the side of the neck
F11 Base of neck measure the base of the neck from shoulder seam to shoulder seam
F12 Full side length measure from the shoulder seam at armscye, down along front of the armscye, and down side seam to waistline
F13 Center side length measure from the armscye down the center side seam to the waistline
F14 Waist measure across the waistline from side seam to side seam
F15 Hip 7" below the waistline, measure across the hip from side seam to side seam
